On Tuesday, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, presented the Verkhovna Rada Awards to the People´s Deputies of Ukraine, representatives of non-governmental organizations, health professionals, educators, law enforcement officials, academics, public sector employees and mass media representatives.
In the name of the President of
Ukraine, the Head of the Ukrainian Parliament awarded the state decorations (the
Order of Merit, the Order of Yaroslav the Wise, the
Order of Princess Olha, the Order of Danylo Halytsky of different
classes) to the People´s Deputies of the current and previous convocations of The
Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The following People´s Deputies were decorated: Oleksandr Yefremov, Yukhym Zviahilskyi, Oleksandr Kuzmuk, Oleksandr Yedin, Vitaliy Khomutynnik, Adam Martyniuk, Nvier Mkhitarian, Ihor Sharov, Oleh Zarubinskyi, Mykola Derkach, Serhii Hrynevetskyi, Volodymyr Stretovych, and others.
Congratulating the award recipients, V.Lytvyn stated that they deserved the state decorations, honorary titles and honorary certificates of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as "each of them demonstrated the art to live, create, work hard and make good acts."
