Military Aid, Development of Defence Production, and European Integration: Ruslan Stefanchuk Meets With the Speaker of the Folketing of the Kingdom of Denmark

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, held a meeting with the Speaker of the Folketing of the Kingdom of Denmark Søren Gade.
Ruslan Stefanchuk noted Denmark’s significant contribution to strengthening Ukrainian defence capabilities and developing practical cooperation between the two states.
“Over the years of our cooperation, the support of Denmark has taken many concrete forms – from the transfer of F-16s and important decisions of the Folketing to “Danish model” which enables the funding of weaponry production directly by Ukrainian defence enterprises,” noted Ruslan Stefanchuk.
Particular attention was paid to the further development of the "Danish model," the expansion of cooperation in the defence industry, and interaction in the field of new technologies. During the meeting, Søren Gade announced the 31st military assistance package for Ukraine, worth 250 million euros.
"Denmark has immense respect for Ukrainians for their resilience and readiness to fight. Ukraine is a provider of security for Europe. The Danish Parliament unanimously supports Ukraine, and all members of parliament stand for continuing this support not only in words, but in deeds," emphasized Speaker of the Folketing of the Kingdom of Denmark Søren Gade.
The conversation also touched upon Ukraine's energy resilience and its further path toward European Union membership.
"For Ukraine, it is important to continue feeling Denmark's strong voice — at the bilateral level, within the EU, and in international forums. I am sincerely grateful to Søren Gade for his personal friendship and support for Ukraine, and to the Folketing for its strong inter-parliamentary solidarity," emphasized Ruslan Stefanchuk.
