Oleksandr Merezhko: the meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Donald Trump and European leaders has strengthened transatlantic security and solidarity

The results of the meeting between the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, American President Donald Trump  and leaders of certain European countries are extremely important in terms of strengthening security not only in Ukraine but also throughout Western world.

This was stated by the MP, Chair of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation Oleanksand Merezhko.

"Thanks to this meeting, it was possible to maintain and even strengthen transatlantic security and transatlantic solidarity, especially in the face of russian aggression. In fact, there has been a tectonic shift in world politics, as President Trump agreed that the United States would participate in developing European security measures and security guarantees for Ukraine. In addition, a constructive conversation took place between the US president and European leaders," the politician emphasised.

We would like to remind you that, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the negotiations in Washington are a significant step towards ending the war in Ukraine. Active work is currently underway on the specific content of the security guarantees.
