The Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy Yevheniia Kravchuk starts work in the newly created National Committee of the UNESCO Information for All Programme (IFAP)

The Member of Parliament Yevheniia Kravchuk has been appointed Deputy Chairperson of IFAP.

The inaugural meeting of the National Committee has already been held. Its work will be aimed at implementing Ukraine's priorities in the areas of the Programme's mandate, namely:

-        information for development

-        information literacy;

-        digital preservation of information and enhanced access to information resources through digital preservation of library collections, archives, and museums

-        information ethics;

-        information accessibility;

-        multilingualism.

We will also work in coordination with UNESCO to effectively combat russian disinformation and propaganda. We will seek greater political isolation of the aggressor and termination of its membership in UNESCO.

In addition, we will participate in international events to develop information policy at the international, regional and national levels, said Yevheniia Kravchuk.

She drew special attention to the importance of joint work and organising events on the topic of the enslaved peoples of the russian federation. The Ukrainian Parliament has a relevant provisional investigative commission that has been operating since August last year.
