During the meeting, urgent issues of protection of human and civil rights and freedoms in Ukraine during the period of martial law were discussed.

The Chairman of the Committee, Andrii Zadorozhnyi, noted that in times of war, one of the key challenges for the state is to ensure proper protection of the rights of persons affected by armed aggression (internally displaced persons, missing persons under special circumstances, citizens who remained in the temporarily occupied territories, etc.) In order to resolve problematic issues in this area, the Committee is always open to cooperation and is ready to consider any effective proposals, including those from international partners.

The head of the delegation, Kerry Kennedy, expressed her support for the citizens of Ukraine and focused on the main aspects of the Foundation's activities that could be useful for both the Committee and Ukraine as a whole.

At the end of the meeting, Andrii Zadorozhny emphasized that external support for our country is extremely important, as the war in Ukraine is not only a struggle for democratic values, but also a confrontation between good and evil.
