Today, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a number of important decisions, including:
10000 — heard the presentation of the draft Law on the State Budget of Ukraine for 2024. I would like to note that this is the budget of a country at war, which has one clear priority — defense. Funds for security and defense amount to UAH 1.69 trillion (21% of GDP). Expenditures are also envisaged for the Defense Industrial Code: UAH 55.8 billion for the production of weapons and ammunition, and more than UAH 48 billion for the purchase of drones.
10070 — MP Nestor Shufrych was recalled from the position of the Chairman of the Committee on Freedom of Speech.
IN GENERAL:
9534 — approved the Proposals of the President of Ukraine to the Law on Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Determining the Procedure for Submitting Declarations of Persons Authorized to Perform State or Local Government Functions under Martial Law. Public access to declarations of all subjects will be open, except for declarations of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, members of their families, declarants who are in the territories where active hostilities are taking place or in the temporarily occupied territories, are prisoners of war or are undergoing treatment after being injured.
AS BASIS:
10038 — proposed to amend the Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2023" and increase funding for the security and defense sector and address priority issues.
10037 — proposed to amend section VI of the Budget Code to ensure support for the state's defense capability and the development of the defense industry of Ukraine.
