The Chairperson of the Committee on Ukraine's Integration into the EU took part in the discussion "Pressure Points: Where the War in Ukraine Is Resolved", organized by the «Atlantic Council» think tank.

Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze stressed that the enemy's ability should not be underestimated, just as this ability should not be overestimated. The blitzkrieg failed. russia could not capture Kyiv in 48 or 72 hours.

"No one has met russian soldiers with bread and salt on Ukrainian soil. But we have to be realistic. Already 20% of the territory is occupied, compared to 7% as it was before the full-scale invasion. This means that the situation is not static. russia may not be as fast as planned, but it is still capturing new Ukrainian territories," said the Chairperson of the Committee.
