The Committee Chairperson took part in the discussion on the series "Fight for Ukraine" of the Kyiv Security Forum.

Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze is convinced that obtaining Ukraine's candidate status for EU membership will be the first fundamental step to anchoring Ukraine in the European future.

“We reminded Europe of what many in the European Union think as of granted. Generations have grown up who see freedoms, such as freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, basic human rights, and even the human right to life, as granted. But you and I are protecting them today."

Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze is convinced it should be the basis for a political decision on granting Ukraine the status of a candidate for accession, which the European Union should approve.
