Ukrainian Statehood Day will be celebrated on July 28. This is stated in the adopted bill №5864.

According to Ruslan Stefanchuk, Chairman of the Parliament of Ukraine, this bill is a logical continuation of the Presidential Decree "On the Day of Ukrainian Statehood," which was signed by Volodymyr Zelensky during the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence.

"This decision will help emphasize the continuity of more than a thousand years of Ukrainian statehood. It will be a factor in resisting russia's hostile narratives of Ukraine as a "fake state."  We must win back every inch of our history, and clear our historical roots. After all, we are a self-sufficient nation," Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed.
