The Committee on Economic Development fully supports the decision of the Government of the United States about complete banning of import of russian oil, gas and other energy sources, which should become a powerful hit on the russia's economic.

The Committee mentions that they understand that this move was harmful for the economics of the USA, and welcomes the readiness of our overseas partners to use their strategic oil reserves to end funding of the war against Ukraine.

Following the USA, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has also announced its cessation of russian oil by the end of 2022.

The Committee on Economic Development ask countries of the European Union to fasten the implementations of the measures aimed at gaining independence from russian supplies as soon as possible by reducing the demand for russian energy.

The embargo on import of russian energy should become truly global, dismantling the aggressor's monopoly on the European market.
