Oleksandr Merezhko, Head of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation, met with the newly appointed Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Ukraine Mohamed Rizvi Hassen.

During the meeting, the parties discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation, developing political and inter-parliamentary dialogue, in particular, developing relations between relevant parliamentary committees and reviving cooperation at the level of friendship groups.

The interlocutors paid special attention to the prospects of strengthening trade and economic cooperation, namely the importance of concluding agreements on double taxation and the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the two countries as soon as possible.
