 The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is due to consider in the second reading and adopt the Anti-Corruption Strategy for 2020-2024 in the near future. Deputy Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk stated this during the Conciliation Council of the Deputy Factions and Groups.

She noted that for the country this is one of the most urgent strategic issues that needs to be resolved by the Parliament. Olena Kondratiuk reminded that the Verkhovna Rada by the constitutional majority adopted the draft Law “On the Principles of State Anti-Corruption Policy for 2020-2024” in the first reading in November 2020. The document was also identified by the President of Ukraine as urgent.

“The Verkhovna Rada should adopt the Anti-Corruption Strategy in general, which will save taxpayers UAH 200 billion annually, the issue of fighting corruption is one of the first for society fallowing the all polls” Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Olena Kondratiuk stated.
