Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumko emphasizes that when the draft law on de-oligarchization will be adopted, it is important not only the name of the document, but also the approaches it will envisage.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada added that in the process of de-oligarchization in other countries the relevant antitrust and lobbying legislation was adopted.
"Any connection of a politician with big business or with any other business, if it is based on corruption, shadow financing of this policy directly or indirectly - is corruption," Dmytro Razumkov stressed.
At the same time, the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that a number of anti-corruption bodies have been established in Ukraine to counteract this phenomenon, and the Parliament has provided these institutions with the necessary legal framework.
The Speaker of the Parliament is convinced that the list of oligarchs in Ukraine should not be determined by the National Security and Defense Council, but by an independent commission.
Dmytro Razumkov noted that the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada do not prohibit consideration in the second reading of the draft law on oligarchs, which was sent to the Venice Commission, until the opinion of the Commission.
