“I am unforgettable with this meeting. A strong, strong-willed woman who at the same time has a hard time for her country, for her family, who remained in Kabul. Fawzia found the most tender, warmest words addressed to Ukraine, which, according to her, helped the Afghan people in difficult times. This is not forgotten,” Olena Kondratiuk shared her impressions of the meeting.
The Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of Afghanistan expressed her sincere gratitude to Ukraine, the Ukrainian people and the authorities for evacuating those who needed it from Afghanistan. “We hope that you will be able to save those who have not yet managed to leave occupied Afghanistan, especially women, because many of them are at risk,” said Fawzia Koofi.
The Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada also noted that she was fond of Ms. Kooufi and her struggle. “Her inspiring speech at the Conference on the Fate and Rights of Women is particularly admirable. In a conversation, Fawzia told with tears in her eyes how the flags on the buildings of her country had changed in an hour. Fawzia addressed the only request - tell us about what is happening now in her country and show solidarity with women,” said O. Kondratiuk.
