The Deputy Group of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Inter-Parliamentary Relations with the Swiss Confederation held a number of meetings with the Parliamentary delegation of the National Council of the Federal Assembly of the Swiss Confederation

From August 23 to 25, 2021, the parliamentary delegation of the National Council of the Federal Assembly of the Swiss Confederation visited Ukraine.
During the visit of the Swiss parliamentary delegation, the Co-Chair of the Deputy Group V. Voronov took part in the meeting of Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine D. Razumkov with the Chairperson of the National Council of the Federal Assembly of the Swiss Confederation A. Aebi.
During the discussion, the Speakers of the both Parliaments discussed a number of issues of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Switzerland and stressed the importance of the work of friendship groups between the our countries to deepen the inter-parliamentary dialogue.
A separate meeting of members of the Parliamentary Group of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Inter-Parliamentary Relations with the Swiss Confederation with Swiss colleagues was held.
During the meeting, Ukrainian parliamentarians thanked Switzerland for its continued support for the territorial integrity, sovereignty of Ukraine and non-recognition of the annexation of Crimea and the occupation of the Eastern regions of our country.
During the conversation, special attention was paid to judicial reform, local self-government reform, climate change, as well as interregional economic, humanitarian and cultural cooperation between our countries. The parties focused on the exchange of experience and implementation of projects in tourism, agriculture and other areas.
Members of the Parliamentary Group of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Inter-Parliamentary relations with the Swiss Confederation, MPs of Ukraine from 23 to 24 August accompanied the Swiss delegation to Vinnytsia. During stay in Vinnytsia, they met with the Mayor and the Head of the Regional State Administration, as well as got acquainted with and launched a number of projects, including in the digital sphere, which are funded and supported by Switzerland.
On August 25, 2021, Co-Chair of the Friendship Group of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with Switzerland V. Voronov together with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Switzerland A. Rybchenko and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to Ukraine C. Wild accompanied the Swiss delegation to Eastern Ukraine, was visited the checkpoint "Stanytsia Luhanska". During the visit, the parties got acquainted with the current situation in the occupied territories. Swiss colleagues assured of their continued support for Ukraine.
This is confirmed by the transfer by President of the National Council of the Federal Assembly of the Swiss Confederation A. Aebi of 1.5 million antigen tests on Covid-19 to the civilian population on the line of demarcation.
Also, parties discussed the upcoming visit of the Ukrainian parliamentary delegation to Switzerland in September this year.
