Adopted as a basis the draft Law No. 5542-1 "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Concerning Ensuring the Stability of the Deposit Guarantee System for Individuals".
The purpose of the draft law is to approximate Ukrainian legislation in the field of functioning of the deposit guarantee system to the legislation of the European Union, in particular Directive 2014/49/EU and Directive 2014/59/EU, achieving the required level of security of the deposit guarantee system for individuals, covering the projected amount of risks in the banking system, solving the problem of restructuring the Fund's debt to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, as well as an increase of the maximum amount of reimbursement by the Deposit Guarantee Fund of individuals.
