Adopted as a basis the draft Law No. 5323 "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine 'On Principles of State Regional Policy'".
The draft Law provides for amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the Principles of State Regional Policy", which provide for changes in legal, organizational, financial and other mechanisms for the implementation of state regional policy.
The draft law proposes:
- to define a single system of documents for strategic planning of regional development;
- to strengthen the connection between the State Strategy of Regional Development, regional development strategies and documents of strategic planning of development of territorial communities;
- to improve the structure of the plan for the implementation of the State Strategy for Regional Development and regional development strategies;
- to strengthen the coordinating role of the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development in the implementation of regional policy;
- to introduce provisions on obligatory development by village, settlement, city councils of strategies of development of territorial communities;
- to strengthen institutional support for regional development: to give regional development agencies the right to provide paid services, to expand the list of their founders at the expense of city, settlement, and village councils;
- to specify the mechanism and procedure for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of state regional policy.
