Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Oleksandr Merezhko met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Ukraine Alisher Kurmanov. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation, ways to intensify cooperation in agriculture and education spheres, prospects for strengthening trade and economic cooperation and increasing trade between the two countries, cultural and humanitarian cooperation and the opening of direct flights.
The parties paid special attention to the development of Inter-Parliamentary dialogue, in particular, the possibility of organizing visits at the level of Chairpersons of the Parliaments, Committees and Parliamentary Friendship Groups.
