The Committee on Digital Transformation heard the report of the National Commission for State Regulation of Communications and Informatization

The Committee on Digital Transformation heard the report of the National Commission for State Regulation of Communications and Informatizationand considered bills on liberalization of legislation in the field of foreign economic activity, reform of urban planning, reforming the system of passenger transport by road and urban electric transport in accordance with European Union standards, etc.
Oleksandr Zhyvotovsky, Chairperson of the National Commission for State Regulation of Communications and Informatization (NCCIR), informed the members of the Committee about the main results of work in 2020. He noted that one of the most important events was the adoption of the Law on Electronic Communications. According to him, also among the priorities - the restructuring of the radio frequency spectrum; reduction of interconnect rates for mobile operators (wholesale tariff); simplification of number portability procedure.
Following the discussion, the members of the Committee took note of the report of the National Commission for State Regulation of Communications and Informatization in 2020.
MPs discuss the draft law on Ratification of Agreement (in the form of exchange of notes) between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the United States of America on extension of the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the United States of America on cooperation in science and technology No. 0100. The document continues the Agreement between the Governments, which ended in 2019. The Committee recommends to the Verkhovna Rada to support the document as a basis and in general.
