The Committee on Public Health, Medical Assistance and Medical Insurance recommends to adopt as a basis and in general the draft law on the regulation of certain issues of social protection of medical workers affected by COVID-19

During the meeting, the Committee on Public Health, Medical Assistance and Medical Insurance considered the Draft Law "On Amendments to Article 39 of the Law of Ukraine 'On Protection of the Population from Infectious Diseases: on Regulation of Certain Issues of Social Protection of Medical Workers Affected by Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)" (No. 5415).
The bill is aimed at providing insurance benefits to health care workers in the event of the establishment of a disability group due to coronavirus disease (COVID-19) within one year from the date of illness.
The Committee on Public Health, Medical Assistance and Medical Insurance recommends to adopt as a basis and in general the draft law "On Amendments to Article 39 of the Law of Ukraine 'On Protection of the Population from Infectious Diseases: on Regulation of Certain Issues of Social Protection of Medical Workers Affected by Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)" (No. 5415).
During the meeting, the issue of including in the tariff for medical services for the provision of medical care under the program of medical guarantees the cost of consumables, as well as determining in the tariffs for medical services the share of labor costs, was discussed.
The Committee decided to recommend that the Ministry of Health, together with the National Health Service and the Ministry of Finance, work out ways to address this issue.
