Ruslan Stefanchuk told about the results of the visit to the Donetsk region

First Deputy Chairpersin of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk spoke during the meeting of the Conciliation Council of the Parliamentary Factions and Groups about the results of the visit to Donetsk region together with the parliamentarians of the Lublin Triangle.
"Last week we visited the village of Shirokine, the Gnutovo entry-exit checkpoint, and got acquainted with the military and other infrastructure. During the meeting, we discussed the possibility of resolving the military conflict between Ukraine and Russia as soon as possible. As a result, the Statement condemning the armed escalation against Ukraine was issued. In order for it to acquire legal significance, we agreed together with the Vice-Speakers of Poland and Lithuania to submit the relevant draft Resolutions to the Parliaments of our countries," Ruslan Stefanchuk informed.

The First Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine also informed about the completion of the public discussion of the draft law on the local referendum and thanked all concerned citizens for their active participation in the discussion.

"Now the bill is being legally finalized. We took into account a number of comments and suggestions sent during the public discussion. After the registration of the bill in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, we will send it for examination to the Venice Commission," said the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

In addition, Ruslan Stefanchuk reminded of the approved Plan of Legislative Work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for 2021 and asked to adjust the work so that all bills provided for in this Plan were submitted for consideration in a timely manner.

At the end of his speech, the politician appealed to the MPs of Ukraine to adhere to quarantine restrictions in the Parliament of Ukraine.
