The Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations held the discussion on "Ways to improve legislation on the rights of internally displaced persons"

The Committee on Human Rights, Deoccupation and Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories in Donetsk, Luhansk Regions and Autonomous Republic of Crimea, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations held the discussion on "Ways to improve legislation on the rights of internally displaced persons".
The participants of the event discussed the problematic issues faced by internally displaced persons during the exercise of their rights and freedoms, in particular, the issues of their registration, exercise of the right to social, pension protection, housing. The main legislative initiatives aimed at ensuring the rights and freedoms of internally displaced persons were considered separately. He stressed that everyone who has the Ukrainian passport should have equal access to their rights and should not be discriminated against just because they have the status of an internally displaced person.
During the discussion, MP Maxym Tkachenko noted that the problem of legislative provision of the rights of internally displaced persons requires concerted action by all public authorities. The parliamentarian assured that the Committee is always open to constructive proposals on this issue for further consideration in legislative activities.
