Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Olena Kondratiuk appealed to the United States of America to provide assistance to Ukraine in the form of COVID-19 vaccines.

“The provision of the COVID-19 vaccine to Ukraine by the United States of America would be sincerely welcomed all over our country. I would like to take this opportunity to ask our American partners to provide such assistance. We will be very grateful for this progress in the name of Ukrainian-American friendship and cooperation,” Olena Kondratiuk said during her speech at the meeting of the Kyiv Security Forum. According to the Vice Speaker, given the peculiarities of the current time, Ukraine needs not only American weapons to combat the Russian aggressor, but also a vaccine against coronavirus infection.

“The new US administration is demonstrating strong success in using this effective self-defense tool against coronavirus to protect the lives and health of citizens. Therefore, we understand and hope that after the call to increase the production and registration of new vaccines, there will be an opportunity to take care of the citizens of the partner countries,” said Olena Kondratiuk.
