Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Oleksandr Merezhko met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine Yagmur Ahmet Guldere

 Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Oleksandr Merezhko met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine Yagmur Ahmet Guldere.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to strengthening the Ukrainian-Turkish strategic partnership, ways to intensify inter-parliamentary cooperation, cooperation within international organizations, including the BSEC and the PACE, security situation in the Black Sea region, strengthening economic and military-technical cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey.

During the conversation, the Chairperson of the Committee stressed the importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary relations between Ukraine and Turkey, the need to make full use of their potential, and informed the interlocutor about the new international initiative - 'Crimean Platform.'

In turn, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine stressed the continued support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as Turkey's compliance with the policy of non-recognition of the annexation of Crimea.
