Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation Oleksandr Merezhko met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to Ukraine Ruslan Bolbocean.
 
During the meeting the parties discussed the issues of strengthening the Ukrainian-Moldovan political dialogue, in particular the results of the visit of President of Moldova Maia Sandu to Ukraine, and inter-parliamentary cooperation, cooperation within international parliamentary organizations, the domestic political situation in Moldova, cooperation in the field of European integration, internal and external factors in the implementation of association agreements, intensification of sectoral cooperation and development of joint infrastructure projects.
During the conversation, Chairperson of the Committee O. Merezhko stressed the importance of restarting the inter-parliamentary relations between Ukraine and Moldova in order to make full use of their potential, in particular, intensifying contacts at the level of friendship groups, and informed the interlocutor about the interaction with the Moldovan delegation within the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
