The draft law No. 3908-1 “On Amending the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses to Strengthen Liability for Committing Domestic Violence and Gender-Related Violence” is aimed at improving the legal regulation of prosecution for domestic violence, gender-based violence, failure to comply with an urgent injunction or failure to notify the place of his temporary stay, as well as the practical implementation of the right of the victim to compensation for material damage and non-pecuniary damage caused by domestic violence. The draft law proposes to make such amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses;
- to establish that servicepersons, conscripts and reservists during the meeting, as well as members of the rank and file of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine, the Civil Protection Service and the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, police officers are administratively liable for domestic violence, gender-based violence, failure to comply with an urgent injunction or failure to notify the place of their temporary stay on general grounds;
- to change the term of imposing an administrative penalty for committing an offense;
- to exclude the need for participation of the person who committed a violation of Art. 173-2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, when considering cases of administrative offenses.
