At its meeting, the Committee on Budget considered a number of issues related to the redistribution of state budget expenditures for 2020. The Committee approved the allocation of funds to ensure the implementation of certain measures aimed at preventing the occurrence and spread, localization and elimination of outbreaks, epidemics and pandemics of acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, provided by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 23.12.2020 No.1305.
The Resolution, in particular, proposes to increase the expenditures of the Coronavirus Fund by UAH 1.7 billion, allocating an additional UAH 1.377 billion to the Ministry of Health for the purchase of a vaccine against COVID-19. At the same time, it is planned to reduce the expenditures that were planned to be made from the Fund: for the purchase of equipment for the reception departments in hospital districts; as assistance to the Social Insurance Fund of Ukraine for the payment of material support and insurance payments on a non-refundable basis; to state support for culture, tourism and the creative industries due to the restrictive measures related to the spread of coronavirus.
The resolution also stipulates that UAH 3.242 billion for the provision of one-time financial assistance by the Pension Fund of Ukraine to insured persons who may lose income in the event of a complete ban on their activities due to the strengthening of restrictive measures.
