A special fund will be created in the State Budget of Ukraine for 2021, the
funds of which will be used to finance vaccination against COVID-19 and increase salaries for doctors. This was stated by the Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov.
The Speaker of Parliament explained that in the State Budget for 2021, funds for the fight against coronavirus are provided separately by ministries.
“Initially, we did not plan to create a separate fund. Yesterday, the day before yesterday, during meetings with representatives of the parliamentary factions, government officials, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance, it was decided that an additional special fund would be created,” said the Speaker of the Parliament.
“Funds from the first quarter will be sent there. They will be aimed at vaccination, support for doctors, including salary increases,” noted Dmytro Razumkov.
According to him, next year the special fund will have less funds than the one created in 2020, but it will be aimed exclusively at measures to combat COVID-19.
