Adopted the Law of Ukraine No. 3672 “On Amendments to the Final Provisions of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Feed Safety and Hygiene’ in order to stabilize the feed market.” The law proposes to allow the use of feed additives in the production of feed, as well as their import into the customs territory of Ukraine, circulation and feed produced using feed additives, if they are registered (permitted) in the European Union.
The purpose of the law is to prevent the collapse of the feed market due to the impossibility of state registration of feed additives used in their composition, if they are not registered in Ukraine.
The law is temporary and, accordingly, its validity is terminated four years after the entry into force of the Law of Ukraine “On Feed Safety and Hygiene.” It is expected that during the transitional period provided by the bill, the system of state registration of feed additives will work in accordance with the requirements of this Law and market operators will have time to obtain registration of feed additives.
