Today the people's deputies had the opportunity to raise questions to the Government in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov opened the Hour of questions to the Government.
The topic selected for the Hour of questions to the Government was the situation with Coronavirus disease in Ukraine and urgent measures of the Government to combat this disease.
Prime Minister Denys Shmygal had 20 minutes for the speech, 21 minutes were for questions to the Prime Minister and his replies, 20 minutes - for questions to the Government representatives and answers.
While answering parliamentary questions, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal highlighted possibilities of stricter quarantine restrictions. He mentioned Ukraine has one of the lowest mortality rates, and stressed 156 billion hryvnias for medicine were set by the Government in the 2021 budget, this is twice as much as last year. He also reported on the budget plan and mentioned big constructions projects.
The Prime Minister and members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine answered questions on: excise tax on fuel; coronavirus vaccines; provision of medicines in pharmacies; payments to physicians who died of COVID-19; audit of infectious diseases hospitals in Ukraine; testing for coronavirus; logistics of hospitals; providing additional funds to provide schools with personal protective equipment (masks and antiseptics), opportunities for national COVID-19 testing following the example of the Slovak government, etc.
