The members of the Committee considered the draft Law on Intelligence No. 2412-d and, based on the results of the consideration, decided to recommend to the Verkhovna Rada to adopt it in the second reading and in general.
The draft law is aimed at improving the legal and organizational framework for the functioning of intelligence, the intelligence services of Ukraine and other entities of the intelligence community, increasing the effectiveness of their interaction, as well as providing social and legal protection of intelligence officers and persons involved in confidential cooperation with these bodies. It should replace the current Law of Ukraine “On Intelligence Bodies of Ukraine.”
