The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a Bill on Parliamentary Temporary Commissions

 281 MPs supported the draft law No. 3681 “On Amending the Law of Ukraine ‘On Temporary Investigative Commissions and Temporary Ad Hoc Commissions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine’ to Ensure Appropriate Conditions for the Operation of Temporary Investigative Commissions and Temporary Ad Hoc Commissions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine” and voted for the bill as a whole.

According to the Bill the organizational and informational, consultative and legal, and methodological support for the commissions’ document management will be entrusted to external specialists from among Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat employees, employees of state executive bodies and other state bodies and/or specialists with whom civil law contracts will be concluded; previously, fixed-term contracts were to be concluded with the specialists who were invited to work in the commissions’ secretariats.

The consequence of the adoption of the law should be the creation of favorable conditions for the activities of Temporary Investigative and Temporary Special Commissions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and increase the efficiency of their work.
