Extraordinary sitting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov opened the special meeting of the Parliament.
The presiding officer clued up that the event has been convened on demand of 160 MPs. Parliamentarians proceeded to the business of the day.

On entrants from occupied territories: Draft bill No.3734
The bill “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine ‘On the higher education’ (concerning the particularities of entering higher education institutions by persons from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, and other categories of persons” was backed by 310 ayes.
On 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s sovereignty: Draft resolution No.3721
The draft resolution on a solemn sitting of the Parliament on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Ukraine was supported by 349 assenting votes.
On better e-workflow at VRU: Draft bill No.3720
The bill “On amendments to Clause 3 of Section II ‘Final and Transitional Provisions’ of the Law of Ukraine ‘On amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine regarding the enhanced electronic workflow within the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine” was adopted by the Parliament.
Draft resolutions No.3383-P (3383-П), 3383-P (3383-П1) “On the cancellation of the Verkhovna Rada’s decision of June 18, 2020 on taking on the first and second readings of the bill on amendments to the Commercial Procedural Code of Ukraine, the Civil Procedural Code of Ukraine, the Administrative Procedure Code of Ukraine concerning the course of procedural terms under the quarantine introduced by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19)” were rejected by MPs.
On changes to state budget: Draft bill No.3776
The bill “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine ‘On the state budget of Ukraine for 2020’” was passed by the Parliament with 350 votes in favour on both readings.
On dismissal of Yakiv Smolii: Draft resolution No.3772
The draft resolution “On the dismissal of Yakiv Smolii from the post of the Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine” was approved by the Parliament and 286 MPs decided to oust the Governor from office.
On dismissal of Yurii Terentiev: Draft resolution No.3784
The draft resolution “On the dismissal of Yurii Terentiev from the post of the Chairman of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine” was backed by 226 parliamentarians and the officer has been given the axe.
On education in health care: Draft bill No.3671
The bill “On amendments to certain Ukrainian acts of legislation concerning some organizational issues of the educational process in the healthcare sector” was confirmed by 281 MPs on the first reading and by 285 ones on the second.
On rehabilitation of the disabled: Draft bill No. 3668
The bill “On rehabilitation of persons with disabilities” was adopted by 265 MPs.
On changes to the state budget: Draft bill No.3664
The bill “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine ‘On the state budget of Ukraine for 2020’” was approved by 247 MPs on the first reading and by 238 – on the second.
On reserve of candidates: Draft bill No.3491
The bill “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine ‘On public service’ regarding the reserve of candidates” was endorsed by 258 ayes.
On alternative energy sources: Draft bill No.3658
The bill “On amendments to certain laws of Ukraine as to enhanced support for the electricity production from alternative energy sources” was carried by 268 votes in favour.
