The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov opened Friday’s plenary session.

The Chairman apprised that the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and members of the Cabinet of Ministers are taking part in the sitting of the Verkhovna Rada. As prescribed, the ministers would account for the state of play with the floods in Prykarpattia and recovery measures thereof, the use of funds for the anti-COVID19 battle and staffing issues subject to the constitutional powers of parliament.

“Ask the Government” hour started.

The presiding officer gave the floor to the premier, who delivered his report on the first two topics. He then answered questions from the floor. The ministers fielded questions from the floor as well.

MP Mykhailo Zablotskyi spoke on behalf of two parliamentary factions.

The First Deputy Chairman R.Stefanchuk announced the coming onto the parliamentary scene of four new inter-factional associations: “For the Democratic Bilorus”, “Franko’s Graduates”, “The Ukrainian Education” and “For Rivnenshchyna”.

The presiding officer announced that MP Anna Skorohod has joined the parliamentary group “PP ‘For the Future’”.

The vice speaker O.Kondratiuk read out a few parliamentary enquiries.

The presiding officer announced that an extraordinary plenary sitting of the Parliament is to take place today at 2 pm.

Parliamentarians then proceeded to the business of the day.

On gambling: Draft bill No.2285-d

Amendments to the bill “On state regulation of activities in the organization and conduct of gambling” are under consideration at the moment. The work on the amendments will be resumed at the next plenary meeting.
