There are || bodies in focus of our committee scan today:
At its 10 June sitting, the committee resumed considering the bill No.3355-1 “On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine as to defining entities subject to anti-graft legislation” in order to prepare it for the second reading. After a number of alterations proposed, the body recommended that the parliament take the bill as law on its second reading.
At its recent sitting, the committee saw into the bill No.3489 “On amendments to Article 91 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On public service’” and recommended taking it on the first reading.
The bill purposes to legally enshrine powers/authorities of a public service chief at the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) after the SBI’s director and directors of its regional arms/offices. This provision was said to be transient until the public service reform is accomplished.
