There are ||| bodies in focus of our committee scan today:
- Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy
At its 5 June sitting, the committee saw again into the bill No.2689 “On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine as to implementing international criminal and humanitarian laws”. The bill is aimed at helping to fully implement provisions of humanitarian law on criminal prosecution for international crimes and ensuring compliance with international obligations purposed to prevent legal and actual impunity for the commission of such crimes. The committee’s recommendation was taking the bill on the first reading.
The meeting also considered a сommittee’s statement on preventing pressure upon cultural institutions and destructing Ukraine’s cultural sphere. The draft statement was voted down and put off for the meetings to be.
- Committee on Youth and Sports
At its 3 June mitting, the committee studied the bill No.3550. The document aims to create additional opportunities for the effective functioning of a number of socially important sports-oriented institutions, which ensure the development of physical culture and sports and the formation of a healthy lifestyle of Ukrainian citizens.
To this end, it’s planned to entitle these institutions to take state-owned and communal property on lease without tenders provided that its sports orientation is kept. The committee’s recommendation was taking the bill on the first reading.
- Committee on Budget
At its recent sitting, the committee examined the ministers’ 2019 state budget implementation report, including the draft resolution No.3269 on the 2019 state budget implementation report elaborated by the government and the Accounting Chamber’s topical findings on the said budget report.
Based on the corpus of the a.m. documents, the committee drafted a VRU resolution No.3269-d (д) “On the implementation of the Law of Ukraine ‘On the state budget of Ukraine for 2019’”. The committee’s recommendations to the parliament were taking the 2019 budget report into consideration and appropriate instructing the ministers as per the draft resolution No.3269-d.
