Congratulations of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine offered on the occasion of the Day of Border Guard of Ukraine

I do congratulate all border guards of Ukraine on their professional holiday!

Today, you are courageously carrying out your challenging service, guarding borders of the state day after day, fighting smuggling and ensuring peace and security in Ukraine.  You all are the symbol of courage and patriotism, honour and strength!

Ukraine is currently going through difficult times, as we are forced to stand up for our territorial integrity and sovereignty with arms in our hands.  And the entire state is boundlessly grateful that you were one of the first to repel the military aggression against Ukraine.

Unfortunately, part of the Ukrainian border remains within the temporarily uncontrolled territories. However, I sincerely believe that there will come the day when our border guards will stand throughout the peaceful state border of Ukraine.

I wish you strength of mind, vigour and good health. Have a clear and calm blue sky overhead, and let peace, love, happiness, joy and harmony reign in your homes.
