Committee on Ukraine’s Integration
into EU
At its recent sitting, the committee considered
a range of draft legislations through the lens of their EU law and AA (Association
Agreement) compliance.
As EU law-AA compliant, there were recognized the
following bills:
- Bill No.2818 on
amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine as concerns the introduction
of an effective responsibility mechanism of natural gas suppliers for
restriction (suspension) on gas supply to consumers and responsibility of
utilities services providers for the non-provision, under-provision or
provision of their services of inferior quality.
- Bills
Nos.2713, 2713-1, 2713-2, 2713-3. All the aforementioned four bills
are aimed at creating favourable conditions for bringing Ukraine’s gambling
sector out of the shadows to legal work by the agency of tax incentives. These
bills are thought to bring respective changes to Ukraine’s tax code.
- Bill No.2450 on
amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the right of individuals to change their patronymics.
- Bill No.3106 on
amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding social protection
of orphans and children deprived of parental care.
- Bills Nos.3204,
3204-1 on amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine as to
validity of collective labour agreements (CLA). The set purposes of the
documents are the elimination of discrimination against employees who are
members of a trade union, ensuring the legal certainty and protection of trade
unions’ rights. The сommittee decided that these draft bills should
eventually be finalized so that to bring them into line with international
legal instruments and best European practices.
