Changes to VRU accreditation procedure

the revised VRU accreditation procedure in force until April 3, 2020

 

Dear journalists,

Starting from March 13, 2020, there have been amended some media accreditation rules stemming from the long-rumored outbreak of respiratory infections.


  • Key changes:

-         TV channels will be given two unregistered temporary cards per channel (for the journalist and the cameraman);

-         news agencies, radio broadcasters, print media and online editions will be given one such card per outlet.

The said card is thought to be transferable within a given media unit. Please take note, one should additionally present a permanent accreditation card and a passport as entering the Verkhovna Rada premises;

-         media representatives are only allowed to work in the 3rd floor lobbies (the Media Centre at the address: M.Hrushevskoho Street, 5);

-         all sittings/meetings bar none are to be exclusively broadcast by the parliament TV channel “Rada”;

-         all MPs briefings are to take place at the Media Centre (the 3rd floor).

  • Where to obtain VRU’s working papers:

  • How to order up an accreditation card:

To do so, you are kindly requested to register yourselves on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine through the section “Accreditation” - /fba

  • When and where you may get the card:

On March 16, 2020:

9 to 12 am – the first entrance of the building at M.Hrushevskoho Street, 5;

2 to 5 pm – Hotel “Kyiv” (room #507) at M.Hrushevskoho Street, 26/1.
