Ukraine-Malaysia
On March 2, the committee chairman Oleksandr Merezhko held a meeting with Mr. Dato Raja Reza Raja Zaib Shah, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Ukraine. During the meeting the parties discussed the deepening of inter-parliamentary relations and stressed the need for further development of trade and economic relationship, in particular in the spheres of aviation, military, education, tourism and trade.
In the course of the meeting, the Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine Dato Raja Reza Raja Zaib Shah assured the Ukrainian side of full support to Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Participants also talked over the investigation into the crash of MH17 flight of Malaysian Airlines on July 17, 2014 and the Russian aggression in the east of Ukraine.
Ukraine-Morocco
The committee chairman Oleksandr Merezhko also met today with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Morocco in Ukraine Faouz El Achabi.
He congratulated the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Morocco to Ukraine Faouz El Achabi, and expressed his gratitude for the support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, as well as for the position of the Kingdom of Morocco regarding the non-recognition of the unlawful attempt to annex the Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged their views upon a wide range of topical issues of bilateral relations. They discussed the prospects of cooperation aimed at supporting and developing an inter-parliamentary dialogue between the Kingdom of Morocco and Ukraine.
The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Ukraine underlined the necessity for practical implementation of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Ukraine and the Kingdom of Morocco, in particular at the level of foreign policy committees.
The meeting also focused upon the issues of intensification of trade and economic cooperation, expansion of the legal base for bilateral relations, simplification of visa requirements for Ukrainian tourists; and special attention was there paid to cooperation in the field of higher education. In the conclusion of the meeting, the parties talked over the exchange of parliamentary visits as well.
