Vice speaker O.Kondratiuk makes for Poland with her working visit

On February 22-23, Olena Kondratiuk, the Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, pays her working visit to the Republic of Poland

During the visit, the vice speaker of the Ukrainian parliament will participate in the conference "Europe of the Carpathians", speaking in a panel discussion "Parliamentary Cooperation in Central and Eastern Europe".

Within the framework of her visit, there will take place a meeting of the Presidium of the Poland-Ukraine Parliamentary Assembly, to be co-chaired by Olena Kondratiuk as well. During this meeting, the assembly co-chairs Olena Kondratyiuk and the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Richard Terletsky would discuss the agenda of the assembly’s kick-off sitting and a wide range of issues concerning the Ukrainian-Polish partnership.

The aim of the “Europe of the Carpathians” Forum – as in previous years – is to inspire working towards a balanced development of Central and Eastern Europe. The Carpathian macro-region brings together the territories of different countries and regions characterized by common features and problems.

The "Europe of the Carpathians" conference is organized on the initiative of Marek Kuchcinski, the Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland and its idea dates back to 2007. This year’s event is devoted to topics related to tourism, history and the development of the Carpathians. Among the panelists there are representatives from Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Ukraine.
