A committee meeting with an official delegation from the United States Department of Defence and the United States Embassy in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian side - Mariana Bezuhla, the Chairwoman of the Committee, Yurii Mysiahin, Deputy Chairman of the Committee and two committee members Iryna Vereshchuk and Ihor Herasymenko.
The U.S. side - a joint delegation of the United States Department of Defence and the United States Embassy in Ukraine, led by Laura Cooper, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia.
To discuss further cooperation between Ukraine and the United States of America on the path of Ukraine's integration into NATO in order to strengthen the country's defence capability for repelling the Russian aggression.
The U.S. delegation leader Laura Cooper emphasized that the United States of America would continue to comprehensively support Ukraine and expressed her high hopes for a rapid progress in reforming Ukraine’s military-industrial complex.
In summary, the Ukrainian participants assured their interlocutors of further fruitful cooperation and that Ukraine’s security-and-defence sector reform would sure be continued at the legislative level to bring it closer to NATO standards.
