The parliament approved the resolution on the list, number of members and remits of committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the IX convocation
By 318 votes parliamentarians took the resolution No.1003 "On enumeration, number of members and remits of committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the ninth convocation".
The document runs that each committee is set to have not less than 5 and not more than 34 members. This resolution also outlines remits of the committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the ninth convocation. The resolution shall enter into force upon its adoption.
According to the document, there will be 23 committees in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the ninth convocation:
1. Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy.
2. Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy.
3. Committee on Budget.
4. Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy.
5. Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management.
6. Committee on Economic Development.
7. Committee on Energy, Housing and Utilities Services.
8. Committee on Public Health, Medical Assistance and Medical Insurance.
9. Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation.
10. Committee on European Integration.
11. Committee on Youth and Sports.
12. Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence.
13. Committee on State Building, Local Governance, Regional and Urban Development.
14. Committee on Education, Science and Innovations.
15. Committee on Human Rights, Deoccupation and Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories in Donetsk and Luhansk Regions and Autonomous Republic of Crimea, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations.
16. Committee on Legal Policy.
17. Committee on Law Enforcement.
18. Committee on Rules of Procedure, Parliamentary Ethics and Administration of Verkhovna Rada’s Work.
19. Committee on Freedom of Speech.
20. Committee on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans’ Rights.
21. Committee on Transport and Infrastructure.
