The Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy recommends that the Parliament overcome the President's of Ukraine Veto on the Law "On Amendments to certain Laws of Ukraine for the Melioration of the External Balance of Ukraine under the Conditions of the World Finance Crisis"

The Law (Reg.№3379) adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on 23rd of December 2008 envisages "implementation, change and rejection of the temporary additional charge to the current rates of the entrance duty for certain goods (temporary procedure)".

In case the veto is not overcome, the Committee suggest to uphold the President´s of Ukraine motion on the solving of the problem by the implementation additional charge to the current rates of the entrance duty for certain goods and adopt the Law in its entirety.
