The Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Customs Duty of Ukraine" as a Basis

During the Meeting it was declared that the Bill (Reg.№344) seeks to arrange the customs duty of Ukraine in accordance with commonly accepted norms of international law.

 

The Bill also envisages the change of entrance duty rates concerning certain goods articles that is a part of international duties of Ukraine determined for the year 2009 according to the Protocol on Entrance of Ukraine into the World Trade Organization. In particular it concerns such groups of goods as: plastic, polymeric materials, caoutchouc, rubber etc.

 

During the discussion the Members of the Committee expressed reservation regarding the change of entrance duty rates as "the Bill is elaborated in order to adopt the goods nomenclature of the current Customs Duty to the standards of the Harmonized System of inventory and coding of good of year 2007 and Combined nomenclature of European Union
