Gen secretaries of EaP states parliaments meet again to take stock of coworking and make plans for future

The third task meeting of the secretaries general of the parliamentary administrations of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries continues in Lviv

The two-day (22-23 May) meeting is participated by the First Deputy Secretary General of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate-Chief Manager Petro Bodnar,  the Secretary General of the Georgian Parliament Givi Mikanadze, the Chief of Staff-Secretary General of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and parliamentary administrations officials of the Eastern Partnership countries.

The programme of the event provides for three meetings, during which the current state of cooperation, the activities of the research network of the parliaments of the Eastern Partnership (EPPRN) within the framework of the Tbilisi Memorandum and the future plans for cooperation will be discussed.

The meeting was opened by the First Deputy Secretary General of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate-Chief Manager Petro Bodnar, who then gave the floor to his colleagues from Georgia and Armenia.  During the meeting there was a presentation of new members of the network, discussed ways to improve regional cooperation with European partners.

Participants of the third task meeting reviewed research reports for strong parliamentarians, a seminar on parliamentary education and communication.
