Upon the noon recess, parliamentarians proceeded to the issue of giving their assent to criminal prosecution of Dunaiev Serhii, MP. With only 125 ayes, the prosecution acceding decision was then rejected by voting.
Afterwards, there have been reviewed two draft resolutions (No.9159, 9160) regarding resignation of members of parliament Iryna Yefremova and Tetiana Yuzkova. Both of them were taken by 268 and 258 ayes respectively.
On the first reading, the Chamber gave consideration to the changes to the Criminal Code of Ukraine (bill No.8184) on unavoidability of punishment for certain offences against proprietorship, road safety and vehicle operation.

On amendments to Ukrainian criminal code

--Draft bill No.8184

On the first reading, there was adopted the draft bill “On amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding unavoidability of punishment for certain offences against proprietorship, road safety and vehicle operation”.

The draft bill proffers to complement the code – the third part of the Article 185 “Larceny”, the third part of the Article 186 “Abbrochment” and the third part of the Article 187 “Brigandage” – with such a qualificatory specifier as committing the corresponding crime with the use of an electronic device for clandestine intervention in acting engineered safeguard systems aiming to get a non-legitimate access.

The second part of the Article 289 shall also be appended with such a qualificatory specifier as causing major material damage, criminalizing also an unlawful hijacking a vehicle, provided the hijacked object’s market value is high at the moment of committing the offence.

On Holodomor

The Chairman of the Parliament notified that the US Senate had that day approved a resolution that recognized the Holodomor 1932-33 as genocide of the Ukrainian people. He named it to be “a historic decision”.
