Committee’s head meets Polish Ambassador on IDS rights
The head of the committee Hryhorii Nemyria met with the Ambassador of Poland to Ukraine Jan Pieklo on protection of the rights of internally displaced persons.
The parties discussed the situation in Ukraine and the protection of the human rights and freedoms in our country, and, in particular, for internally displaced persons and citizens of Ukraine in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donbas.
In this regard, Hryhorii Nemyria informed the Ambassador about the results of the committee hearings that took place last month.
In his turn, the Ambassador stressed the need to protect the rights and freedoms of all Ukrainian citizens.
Committee’s head meets Lithuanian Ambassador on bilateral issues
The head of the committee Hryhorii Nemyria met with the Ambassador of Lithuania to Ukraine Marius Janukonis.
The parties discussed the political and socio-economic situation in Ukraine, the prospects of cooperation between Lithuania and Ukraine, as well as the situation in the east of our country and the annexation of the Crimea.
In this regard, Hryhorii Nemyria thanked the EU for its support and stressed the need to continue the policy of sanctions against the aggressive Russian Federation.
The Ambassador Marius Janukonis, in his turn, emphasized that Lithuania supports the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
