Committee on Culture and Spirituality
The committee head Mykola Kniazhytskyi orchestrated creation of a joint textbook for cultures of Central and Eastern Europe
He stated that during the opening ceremony of the Carpathian Space Arts Festival in Ivano-Frankivsk, which gathered people from the Carpathian region’s countries, as well as Georgia, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Latvia, Lithuania and many other states.
Within the limits of the festival a conference of Carpathian education ministers took place.
In his opening address, the head of the committee remarked that during the decades of enslavement and colonization the Soviet system had done its utmost to ensure that there would be nearly no contacts between the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
He then unveiled his initiative to give birth to a collective textbook on the regional cultures to be later on promulgated at schools throughout the region. According to the head, artists and researchers from all the countries of the region could participate in making the joint book.
Mykola Kniazhytskyi also informed that the education ministers and ambassadors supported this idea.
