Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, admits that the procedure aimed at amending the Constitution of Ukraine can be launched, in case a new majority is formed at the Parliament.

A.Yatseniuk objects to the introduction of amendments, as they are stipulated not by social, but by political suitability. He deems reasonable to amend the Fundamental Law after the presidential elections in 2010 by the consolidated constitutional composition of the Parliament. "At first, we should obtain consent of the society to the alteration of the Constitution.  This is the document of the nation, not the politicians", - stated A.Yatseniuk.

The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine also reminded of the procedure of introducing amendments to the Fundamental Law, and appraised the prospects of amending the Constitution as "immensely complicated».
